All the secret Holiday Projects and some other stuff!!

Okay I usually have to wait to make sure that all the people I am working on secret projects for  get them to the right people before I post them!
So finally now  after a long time I am posting a bunch of stuff!!

This was the cover I did for City Paper this year! I am really happy with how it turned out.
It was even chosen as one of the top ten Alternative Weekly Covers of the year by Society of Publication Designers. Check out all the other cool covers

This is Woodberry Kitchens Holiday Card!!
I was so honored that they chose to use my papercut that I made for them. They also used it for t shirts too that are for sale, Check it outhttp://www.woodberrykitchen.com/ -
Printed by my buddy Common Seed Press!

I did this papercut as an anniversary gift for a lovely couple who have wonderfully lovely parents.
Joann and Bob commissioned me to make this for Emily and John's first anniversary. I used some paisley images inspired by the trip they took to India where they were engaged!
This is a papercut commissioned by Bob for JoAnn! They are just wonderful and really inspired  me with the idea of a Shaker Tree..

This was a thank you gift for the Managing Principal at a law firm here in town,
I am actually re working it slightly as the dates are different from the ones I was given, I am excited about re working it, always gives me a chance to perfect things!!
Here is a lovely castle for a lovely lady !

here is a bag printed by Gaby and Bryan for their wedding, a few posts back I posted the papercuts I did for them below is the save the date post card they also printed!!

What I have been upto!

Well, it has been a very long time since I last posted an update!
I have been very busy and not good about updating!
Here is a brief summary which will hopefully catch me up!
I did a lovely papercut as a gift for the lovely family that owns Veritas Vineyards in
Virginia!
This is a terrible photo as I used my portfolio as a background but, the final piece was on a nice blue color.

Then the next thing I worked on was a cool piece for a show at The Maryland Institute College of Art
I was honored to be in the fibers alumni show Sew Local
I took the opportunity to make a piece larger than I normally would make, it was fun and inspired by the alphabet. Each little image is an illustration for a letter.

Then after that I had a show at Atwater's in Catonsville, MD they are makers of delicious bread, soups and food and it was really fun to put some work up there
here are a few images of pieces I put up.

Then I re stocked at Trohv, formerly known as Redtree, Still amazing stuff!! Same Amazing store just a different name. there should still be plenty of pieces there so pick one up for the holidays.

It's been too Long!!

wow this summer really flew by and I found myself so busy with work and with papercut work I had no time to update this blog.
This is a pretty complete list of projects I have worked on since this summer
July and August  was pretty much out since my real job
Nana Projects  was totally busy making parades at Artscape and for the Baltimore Grand Prix with over 5,000 middle school students
September I am finally getting back on track and getting caught up on lots of work!
here are two that show the sketches but, not the final pieces since they are lost on my camera somewhere
but, its fun to see the sketch process
This was for a little girl! I put it on a really nice orange background
This was for a wedding anniversary and the final one was a slightly different design but, this is how I start a commission we talk about the general idea and then I do sketches and then we go back and fourth re working details if needed.
we ended up doing a more horizontal design with a nice vine surrounding the tree and bikes and roots!

There were a ton of May weddings here are two cuts from those!

Then this was a gift for a the officiant of a wedding
I did a papercut for the Bride and Groom's Anniversary earlier this year so it was fun to do another on for them!

April Showers Bring May Papercuts!

Well I have been busy working on lots of commissions for lots of great people!
I also went out of town on a very wonderful vacation for 12 days so it has taken me a little while to get back in the swing of things.
I am working on a ton of new stuff and hope to post photos soon and also take some more stuff over to Redtree/Trohv
This was for a birthday gift for a lovely lady in my hometown of Providence RI! For her fiance's birthday she wanted this quote to be mixed with parachutes since he is a professional skydiver!
It was really fun to work out new ways to use text

This was a wedding present for a couple that are dancers and really swing dancing. We chose this quote to use and I had everything cut out and then I noticed the typo- can you find it?
Luckily I found it and was able to make a slight adjustment that actually worked out just fine

Here is a papercut I donated to school 33's Lotta Art auction. I don't know who won it but, I hope they enjoy it!
